Orlando Vacation Rentals

Who wouldn’t want to have a house that is just minutes away from the “Happiest Place on Earth?” Orlando vacation rentals remain some of the most popular properties in the Sunshine State, thanks to their proximity to the world famous Orlando attractions as well as being a short drive from the beaches on both coasts of Florida.

Compared to South Florida or even the Gulf Coast, Central Florida is a much newer tourism area. Many of the Orlando vacation homes were built within the last decade, which means they have all of the modern amenities like cable TV and Internet access, and they were built after Florida instituted more robust building codes in the wake of Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Simply put, vacation homes in Orlando tend to be newer, stronger and safer than older properties along the beachfront.

Many of the vacation homes in Orlando are actually located close to or within the city limits of Kissimmee, Florida in neighboring Osceola County. The properties range in size from two and three bedroom condos to four and five bedroom single family homes with a swimming pool in the backyard. Many of these Orlando vacation rentals are part of larger gated communities with separate recreation center for residents to enjoy swimming, tennis, and other activities, including hosting small private parties.

Of course, the main draw for Orlando vacation homes is location, location, location as it relates to all of the tourist attractions that make Orlando an international travel destination. People who own a property in Orlando have easy access to the Walt Disney World theme parks—Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, plus Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and Downtown Disney; Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure—home of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter; and the natural wonders of SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Aquatica.

In addition to the theme parks, Orlando’s tourism corridor on International Drive is home to dozens of restaurants, shops, and other attractions, such as Wonderworks, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Fun Spot, Wet and Wild, Congo River Golf, and the World’s Largest McDonald’s PlayPlace just to name a few. And don’t forget that the beaches of the Florida Space Coast are within an hour’s drive on the Atlantic coast, while Clearwater Beach is less than two hours away on the Gulf Coast. With so much to do in and around Orlando, it’s great to have an Orlando vacation home as a home base for an extended stay in the Sunshine State.
